I am over the moon and Ian hasn't stopped grinning! The house itself is fine enough, but the location makes me misty!

Yippeeee!!!

Casa Cobb!

It's beautiful and that view is amazing. I recognized Mt. Swansea from your house, so I had to go back to your last post and NOW I can see your house from there!

Celebrate heartily and give Hayley a great big hug & kiss for me please...

ooh, yes and a name... good call Gypsy! I'll have to put on my thinking cap... it's right by water, and there is lots of mist at certain times of the year.... maybe Avalon... this may take some time...

Oh WOW Stevie - i's amazing! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back here - another mad week - but my goodness what great news to come back to.

I can't believe how wonderful that view is, and the house looks just perfect.

When do you move in???

Stevie said...

September 15! Or at least that is when we take possession. We are paid up in rent here until the last day of September, so we have two weeks to move at a sane pace!

Careful, lest ye rest and...

Oh yes, Team Rice!

Not to be confused with Team Baked Potato...

I love all my carbohydrates.

Congratulations, Steph and Ian...

I wish you all the best and, with that, the greatest housewarming ever!

Love
Dale

Dale said...

Sooo...do your landlords need a good renter?

Stevie said...

very possibly... they haven't decided if they are renting again or not though...

The 15th - that's so soon! Two weeks to move is indeed civilised though. It should always be like that. I'm rather envious - we haven't moved for 18 years, and I've never lived in one house for so long before. I love the feeling of discovering new spaces, settling in, scouting out the neighbourhood... and throwing out the detritus of many year of accumulated guff. Now I just live in it!

I am over the top happy for you! What a magnificent place!
*pop* *fizz* (as we uncork the champaign) a toast: To a wonderful lady and her wonderful family, may they have endless joy, comfort, and love this new home shall bring and may the halls echo with laughter and the mirrors reflect smiles all the years of there journey.
CHEERS!

I'm here! I'm here! *L*

Awesome house! Wow, look at that view...I couldn't even *imagine* having that view out my back porch! It looks beautiful on the inside too. Great choice - you must be so excited!! When do you move in??

gypsy noir said...

OOH Val I like 'Irish Mist' for a name..
I was thinking along the lines of...wait for it..'Misty Towers'!

Stevie said...

okay, get this: when I was a teenager in high school in wrote in the school paper under the pen name.. waity for it... Misty Rain!

Stevie said...

on the way down the hill today I thought of Avonshire...

Stevie said...

Mistyshire?

Stevie said...

Val, my dad is Irish and Norweigan, and my mum is British and Metis.
I think the Irish genes are the strongest though!

Stevie said...

and hey yeah! You'll be here soon Lesley!

i am excited because i totally know where that is! :) it's so pretty.

Stevie said...

HI Darling Lovely! I figured you'd know where I meant! You drive past it every day day!
I want you to be my first goddess Kori, if you are willing... I have a vision of you as a lovely sprite... I'll explain it more over tea...
:)

I kind of like Misty Towers, but there's no tower....only mountains....the Misty Mountains are found in Middle Earth....and let's see....Misty Rain falls in the Valley at times...(hope you didn't skin your knees:)...but there are no waterfalls nearby....so Misty Mountain Ranch....maybe...or Misty Sijhs (Stevie, Ian, Justin, Hayley, Scott...pronounced 'sighs')...still sounds a bit Irish, dunnit?

Congrats, Stevie and Ian! It's got such a view!

Val, are you coming to Canada next summer so we can all do the cross-country tour? Looks like there is a second chateau to stop at.
