Luminaries

Hello darlings!
Okay, I have tonight and tomorrow to do the luminaries... I want to make them nice. I have Gypsy's mam's name, and Neil's mums name... and Dale is here with me in the valley... Val, did you want me to light one for your friend in SA and your dad? Anne-Marie, for your dad? I can put a couple of names on each bag, and that way we are all together...
Koos? Lesley? Ian? Margie? Mary-Beth? Chantal? Rache?
Let me know the name you would like me to put on, and whether is is in memory if they passed, or in honour if they are fighting now or have won... and if you have a short personal message you want on it... send it to me asap, I'll check my site and email right up until I go to the relay on Satuday late afternoon.
I love that you are all going to be there with me...

You bet we'll be there with you. So will the ones we are remembering.

My dad's name was Hans Klein, and he passed away on May 31, 2001.

That we are! I have made luminary bags for Anne-Marie, Gypsy and Neil so far, as well as some of my own. I haven't coloured this much in ages... but I am starting to get on a roll!

Hi Stevie,

How sweet. My mother had breast cancer exactly 30 years ago, with a successful mastectomy on July 17, 1977 (I remember that date because I went and saw Pink Floyd at Montreal's Olympic Stadium on that exact day - a perfect diversion since she didn't want us around the hospital).

She's now turning 79 and has sported her prosthesis proudly while helping many other woman go thru the same ordeal. She was absolutely magnificant last Fall when I had to have a biopsy on my breast (which was thankfully negative).

So, something for Barbara would be wonderful! Thank you!

Thank you for asking, Stevie! Yes, I would like one for my dear gramma, Elizabeth Gouthro, who passed September 28, 2002.

Stevie that is such a lovely idea! Thanks so much. I would love it if you lit a luminary for my friend Anne. She died in 1991 at the age of 36...and I miss her still. Bless you...and how are you by the way? Have you cut off all your beautiful hair now? What a wonderful gesture you have made Stevie. You are a darling really!

Nope, cutting my hair tomorrow!
Do you want me to put a last name or just Anne? And just so all of you know, I am putting "love from" you (as in your name) on the bags as well... so last names aren't terribly important, cuz you know who they are!
And it is my honour to be doing this.

Awww that's going to be lovely. I wish I could be there to see it. If Anne is looking down from somewhere, she would be both honoured and touched.

I saw your comment on Dale's so came straight here again. Hope you get the cleanest shave in creation dear Stevie. Good luck, you are so brave!
