feeling blue...

all sorts of blue... waiting for the tea to boil, feeling weary of heart, soul and body.
Spring has begun to arrive, I think, I hope... with melting, melting, melting everywhere. I await her arrival with longing, with despair, with a need for life to refresh me in all things natural. I feel as though I have been holding my breath underwater for ages too long, and soon I will break the surface and inhale... moist earth, fresh buds...
I ache for it...

What a wonderful way to express the suspended feelings we have until spring arrives. I too feel that way Stevie. Spring is very much in evidence here today though. It's a beautiful day...yay!

Skiing in Spring!

I know the feeling, - all too well.

But now March has arrived my spirits have really lifted.

What a beautiful passage.

I don't know what your winter was like on your side of the Rockies, but we had a relatively balmy December + January, but the last 5 weeks have been non-stop snow, ice, and bitter cold with patches of passable warmer cold, you know, your garden variety -5 to -10C instead of -30C.

I've had enough, in fact, I'm running away to California for the March Break and I expect all that white stuff to have been cleaned up before I get back. Or else things are going to get ugly.

Hi guys!
Pulled myself out of my pity party funk and found all your wonderful messages! Thank you... my spirits are lifted already.
Dale, might try that! Carefully, of course...
Val, got your email! Thanks!
Ian: OMG the oaks sprouting in your kitchen are so f@!*%ing cool!
Anne-Marie: escaping without us to the sun? Hmph. Wel,, we'll try to do something about the weather for when you get back, but really, it is rude of you not to invite us all along.

I love your meez avatar.

But hey, you're in my bedroom???

Stevie said...

hee hee!
Could be I am going to try and nab one of those baby oaks after you fall asleep!

Stevie said...

or our avatars are having some sort of illicet affair!

ian gordon said...

Hey, in that slinky top, I think my avatar could well be distracted from his night time cuppa.

Stevie said...

she is a bit of a floozy you know. Has those new "cyber" morals. Tried to program her to be a bit more modest, but, to no avail. Mind of her own.

Vallypee said...

What's this hmmmm, illicit goings on in blogland hmmmmm ;-) and transatlantic ones to hmmmmmmmmmmmm???

Anyway, Stevie, I'll turn the other way and just say I'm still creased up at the notion of men in kilts doing handstands! I can just imagine what else we'd see upside down.....of course I mean the sporren!! lol

gypsy noir said...

illict affairs??..kilt exposure??..DISGRACEFUL!!!!!

ian gordon said...

Don't even mention kilt exposure. (Gordon? Clan name...)

Stevie said...

It is my floozy avatar, Val. She is putting the moves on Ian's avatar... seems she is after his great oak!
Snicker!

Stevie said...

And Gypsy darling, I would have thought anything dark and illicet would have resulted in a wicked grin from you!

ian gordon said...

No acorn jokes, Please!!!!

Stevie said...

lucky I am as brain dead as I am from reports or I would come up with at least one... it would be a-corny one too!
hahahahahahahahahaha!

Vallypee said...

LOLOL Ian and stevie!....but for a moment there I was barking up the wrong tree ;-)

gypsy noir said...

Yes stevie the more disgraceful the better...
.....more please...

Lannio said...

men in kilts doing handstands could be interpreted as another type of Northern Exposure. I for one like the North ... this could get interesting.

Vallypee said...

Hope all this tomfoolery (at first I wrote tomfolly..lol) has helped to cheer you up Stevie...;-)

Stevie said...

Darling Val, yes, you have all cheered me up!
Ian, we best keep tabs on those avatars of ours... I think she is planning on flitting from room to room...
Gyspy, good lord I haev missed you! I will endevour to write something deliciously wicked for you!
Lesley, sounds like a new CBC documentary: Canadian Men in Kilts: A Northern Exposure
Dale, I did it! And I feel delicious! MAking waffles for the kids and their friends, door open to let in the air!
Then I am off to check out the avatar wardrobe... cheeky thing wants something slinkier...

Dale said...

PMSL !

Vallypee said...

Stevie, I can't even seem to make a normal avatar, let alone a dancing, moving, fashion conscious flighty piece like yours..lol. You must be quite a whizz on these programs ;-)

Stevie said...

Does it move on your screen?? It doesn't move on mine! I wouldn't normally have a clue how to make one do anything... Ian directed me to meez.com and it does it all for you!
But I think she is adorable and am having lots of fun with her!

Vallypee said...

Actually Stevie, I just checked and no yours doesn't move, but Ian's does! How's that I wonder...... Anyway, yours is very sweet too. Maybe I'll have a look at it too ;-)

Dale said...

I see one Ian is not enough...

Dale said...

I was just over at Val's and read that you tried the head-sticking-out-thing...

LOL
Drive slower in the rain.

Stevie said...

what the heck is that from?
"One is never enough..." Remember that ad?
Some kind of cookie I think.
Or candy. No, chocolate! was it chocolate?
Or maybe it referred to Ians...
;)

Stevie said...

Poor Ian of Nottingham... we'll make him blush and he won't come and visit anymore...
Bad Stevie.
Bad Dale.
Bad Val.
Naughty, naughty girls!...

Vallypee said...

Gotta dash to work now, but I say your meez move and wink at me!!! Honest! Nice start to the day ;-)

Vallypee said...

sheesh...I saw your meez move, not say...and yes, now she winks at me in a very coy and flirtatious fashion..the floozy ;-)

Stevie said...

Adorable little floozy though!
I think I will find her a new outfit later... and I think she can dance...

gypsy noir said...

stevie, just to say i have a lavender freshner in my lavvy, does this count?..i cant stand the smell but i love the plant visually..hmmm..

ian gordon said...

Hey, your avatar's turned into Maid Marian!!!!

Stevie said...

apparantly the Maid Marion outfit worked... I am just shocked at the recent turn of events...
