a guy came in to a buy a couple of things the other day. I asked if he wanted a bag. he looked at me, frowning, and asked, "Is that a trick question?" I guess a few people do read my columns.
I forget to bring the bags in, as well. But I refuse to bow to the plastic.
Hence, I send the kids, Gene or anyone willing, back to the van to collect them. Or I load up my arms and totter out the door. Or I load up the cart and fill the bags up in the back of my van.
You should see what my van looks like on a trip home from SuperStore!!
Hi Stevie, some places (San Francisco comes to mind) have banned disposable plastic bags at grocery stores already, so you might be onto something. We have reusable cloth ones, and I carry two nylon ones all folded up in my purse at all times.
