Goodbye old girl...

Have had bits of this song flitting through my head ever since we spent our last day with our darling Cinder Dog before we had to make that last, heartbreaking visit to the vet, so finally had to look up the lyrics.

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds, in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile, through your fear and sorrow
Smile, and there'll be tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
If you'll....
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear, may be ever so near,
That's the time, you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile,
If you'll just....
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear, may be ever so near,
That's the time, you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile,
If you'll just....
Smile

Thank you Stevie, this meant a lot, and even more for the fact YOU posted in memory of a beloved furry friend. Beautiful words.

It's such a sad thing.
My old Red will, more than likely, not make it through the winter.
