okay guys and gals, here we go... I have put in the call and at 2 a.m. Set. 19 my internet is gonzo, and I have no idea how long it will take shaw to get me hooked up again, so though I can check email and bloggy stuff while at work, it may be more sporadic for a bit.
As for the move, it is going.... well... it is going. Ian and I, as much as we love each other, have EXCEEDINGLY different packing styles, and it has caused a little tension and to add to that we both work so much that it is all just.... getting tenser.
But, girlfriends to the rescue: my very dear friend Donna, who owns an insulating company, is sending over two of her lads and a five ton truck tomorrow to be at my disposal for three hours! So tonight my mission is to get as much big stuff ready to be moved as possible. Then any remaining small stuff can be done on the weekend.
Poor Ian is stuck to his desk for a long night of pagination and has to be back at it immediately in the morning, so this is a lifesaver for him as well!
So darlings wish us luck!
Back as soon as I can be!

I just moved everything in one go...I was so desperate to move I just piled it all in one van..
Good luck to you all. It's hard when you have to work though as you need time to sort everything..
Don't worry you will all be settled in to your lovely new abode soon..
Then you will have the rest of forever to sort it and put your stamp on it..
Oh good luck with the move, Step!
I am moving, too.
No need for arguments over packing styles - I'm doing it myself.
Well, with some help from Gene, of course, but it's my stuff, so I get to be the boss... ;)
It can be a tense time, but you'll get it done. Just wait till the end product suddenly appears!
Your brand new home!!
I got your message last evening, but it was late and I was very worn out and very tired. Will call today.
Thank You.
good wishes and best of luck - wait- strike that and reverse!
either way its all good!
please wish Ian a happy belated b-day for me. I chickened out again to quit smoking - but i'll get there.
Make it fun!

Good luck with your move Steph. These are exciting times! I wish you, Ian and your blended gang much happiness.
As an aside, thank you. Luckily reality sometimes isn't as bad as exaggeration.
So Saturday was the big moving day? That means by now you're in ... chaos!
Hope the tension has diminished - I can see how two people could really get on each others whatsits in the midst of all that, no matter how much they love each other. Hope you had a lovely bottle of something to celebrate after the event - or is the whole thing still a work-in-progress? A few bottles then.
But a new house .... Yippeeee!
Good luck with the move.

I guess you'll have done your move by now Steph, and hope it all went well. I had a good laugh with myself just now cos I read that your friend Donna owned an 'insulting' company. I just gawped until I read it again and saw it was 'insulating'...lol...I wondered how insulting you all with a hug truck was going to work ;-)
insulting me with a hug truck...
lmoa! I really ought to proof more!
The move is going fairly well, with a few more things in storage yet and lots of boxes everywhere. Of course we are both working all the time still, so slow going, but heck, we're there for a long time, so what's the rush, eh?
We had a golf tournament fundraiser yesterday... just over $30 k!
Wow, you really know how to raise $$ don't ya!
Hey, we gotta get together when I'm out there over the TG week-end.
yes yes yes! Drinks over thanksgiving it is!
know any good and comfy places to stay (that are reasonable) in Banff park? I'll probably stay there one night en route to Kananaskis. I plan to do some exploring in the park on the Tues and Weds after thanksgiving and before the conference.

let me think on that Les... not much affordable in the Banff area, but then again, it is the off season...
:)

Happy moving! A world without internet?? *gasp!*
I booked at a simple place - the Lake Louise Inn for $104/night. Not bad for a national park. Figure I'll leave Invermere in the morning and do the Lake Louise area before sleeping. Then wake up and Do the Banff area before heading to Kananaskis county.
Hope you're loving your new place. I can't wait to see it .... yeah, I'm gonna see it ...
