off to otterwa!

wouldn't it be cool that was really what Ottawa was called and it was people with happy peaceful Otterfolk?
Wind in the Willows anyone?
Just back from doing photos at the startup for the TransRockies Challenge (one of those super challenging bicycle race sort of things that lasts a week and starts at Panorama and ends in Fernie) and have to pack, clean, drive to Calgary and get to Ottawa!
So, I'll be on sporadically, and if I don't talk to you sooner, talk to you next weekend!
xx

Oh I love the Trans Rockies!
A few of my friends have ridden in it over the years. Very long and grueling.
I love listening to Drew narrate the television production of it, though. He's pretty good.

I watched Bridge Over Terabithia last night. Was a right tear-jerker. For some reason the name "Otterfolk" brought it to mind...

Have fun along the shores of the Otterwatter Roover!

Bon Voyage, Safe Journey and all that!

Hi Stevie, loved the bumper sticker post..gave me a good chuckle that did....

Sooo, you're off to Otterwa, not to Rathole?? Hmm, that was a bit feeble wasn't it. I'll work on being back on form by the time you get back..have molehill, no mountains of fun..xx

Enjoy Ottawa, my dear. If you somehow stumble into the Big Smoke here, do pop by.

You really otter go to Otterwa! I like the idea of otterfolk too. They sound friendly.

Not that I'm still on an eating theme - the otters are quite safe from my knife and fork - but I didn't get to answer your question about Kangaroo on the last post. Yes, it's brilliant, and very lean and good for you. I like it best in fillets, marinated in red wne, rosemary, garlic, onions and chilli, then barbecued to medium-rare. Just fantastic. It tastes a little like a cross between beef and well-flavoured lamb, with perhaps a little game thrown in.
I'd send you some but I don't think it would travel well. I might find a way though. I know some companies transport premuim steaks to addresses overseas. Hmmm.

Have fun!

Hi Stevie,

I hope you've enjoyed your trip here! I am not working tomorrow, but I do already have a lunch booked and I have to go to the university to deal with some things before school starts (2 weeks before school and they are closing at 3pm - how inconvenient!). I'm really sorry its not in the stars this time around. It's been crazy lately.

Did you take the train here?? Tell me all about it - we have pondered taking it from here to Vancouver. I would think it can be boring...?

You know, don't you, that Ian is bringing home a blonde this weekend? She's gorgeous - tall, blue-eyed and very creative....

I know you'll welcome her with open arms...
